It grows in connection with trees and often appears in late summer.
How to Identify It
The mushroom is entirely white:
• White cap
• White gills
• White stem
It has:
• A ring on the stem
• A bulb at the base
It looks simple, clean, and harmless. That’s what makes it dangerous.
Is It Poisonous?
Yes.
