Sitka is a regular stop for major Alaska cruise lines (Princess, Holland America, Norwegian). Ships dock at the Old Sitka Dock, 7 miles north of downtown, with shuttles into the city.

No Road Access
Sitka is located on Baranof Island in the Alexander Archipelago. Like most Southeast Alaska communities, it is not connected to the state’s road system. Travelers must arrive by plane or boat.
